A Wright County couple was killed late Thursday morning in a crash in downtown Hartville. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck happened at 11:14 a.m. on July 9 at 135 East Rolla Street when a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado suddenly accelerated, jumped a curb, went through a parking lot, and struck a concrete building.
Both occupants, from Norwood — a 78‑year‑old male driver and a 77‑year‑old female passenger were pronounced dead at 11:18 a.m. by Wright County Coroner Ben Hurtt.
