Ellington, MO. – A fatal crash occurred on Sunday, May 28th, on Highway K of Troop G territory, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
This crash involved a pair of Missouri residents traveling eastbound on Highway K in Reynolds County. The collision occurred at 3:17 pm, 13 miles east of Ellington. They were traveling in a GMC Sierra that was totaled in the crash.
The driver, Tanner Murphy, a 24-year-old Park Hills, MO. resident, ran off the right side of the roadway and overcorrected. They then struck an embankment and overturned.
The passenger in the accident, Zachiriah Hahn, a 24-year-old Farmington, MO. resident, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on-scene. The driver sustained moderate injuries. Neither was wearing a safety device.
Afterward, Tanner was found to be intoxicated and charged with Felony Driving While Intoxicated, Causing the Death of Another.
