On May 10, 2026, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office began receiving phone calls from a male subject who identified himself as Private Murray from Fort Knox Military Base. The subject requested that a local attorney be arrested and detained under the NDAA Patriot Act.
The male subject called back multiple times and began threatening the staff at the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
The male subject was identified as Michael Todd Murray, age 52, formerly of Ava. A warrant was obtained for Michael Todd Murray for making a Terroristic Threat, with no bond being set on the case. The subject was located at a residence in Springfield on May 11, 2026, where he was apprehended by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and Officers with Operation Relentless Pursuit. Murray remains incarcerated in the Douglas County Jail.
