Mountain View, Mo. – A two-vehicle crash near Mountain View on Sunday night injures four people. The accident occurred at 9:24 p.m. last night at the intersection of County Road 2950 and Highway 60 on the west side of Mountain View.
Jerl Weakly, 27 of Portageville, Mo., had slowed down his 2014 Nissan Maxima to turn onto the county road when it was struck by a 2016 Jeep Patriot driven by Katherine Long, 43 of Mountain View.
Long was seriously injured in the crash and needed to be airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment. Two passengers of Long, 47-year-old Gary Wilferd of Niceville, Fl. and a 10-year-old male juvenile also suffered minor injuries and were taken to Mercy-St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View for treatment. Weakly suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mercy-St. Francis.
