Eminence, MO. – Ozark National Scenic Riverways tentatively plans to conduct the Welch Lodge Prescribed Burn on March 16, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.
This prescribed burn encompasses 694 acres and is located in northern Shannon County near Welch Spring. Expect delays and temporary closure of State Highway K during the burn due to smoke on the roadway. The road and hiking trail to Welch Spring will be temporarily closed during the burn and will reopen once fire crews ensure they are safe for visitors.
