West Plains, MO. – The West Plains Walmart recently posted its plans and schedule to open the full parking lot.
They stated that work will begin on September 3, 2024. They will be tearing up about 90,000 square feet on the general merchandise side of the parking lot. They state this area will be allowed to dry out for a few days. They will begin to lay asphalt back down on Monday, September 9, 2024.
They posted that they hope to open the entire parking lot by Thursday, September 12, 2024. They went on to say, “We apologize for the massive inconvenience and strain this has put on all of you and we appreciate your patience with us as we work to resolve the problem.”
The parking lot is currently closed after a small part of it caved in on the night of August 19, 2024.
