Salem, AR. – Earlier this year, negotiations to incorporate the Fulton County Hospital received a conclusion, and just last week, Baxter Health unveiled a new logo and name for the hospital, partly as a way to celebrate National Hospital Week.
This celebration and photo op ceremony was organized in part with Anthony Reed, the Interim Administrator for the Fulton County Hospital, which will now be known under the full name: Baxter Health Fulton County Hospital.
The full integration of the Fulton County Hospital is estimated to be official effective at the start of 2025, and the decision for the integration of the hospital was unanimously decided in August of 2023. This decision was made after it was found that both inflation and staffing challenges from COVID-19 had left the hospital with limited funds and at risk of closure.
This deal was reported to have been made possible through funds from the American Rescue Plan Act, or ARPA.
