Fulton County Man Tased and Arrested Following Stealing Incident

Salem, AR. – A man has been arrested and is facing multiple criminal charges after he stole a vehicle and was tased by law enforcement personnel.

This began on September 10th when a woman located various items, including a briefcase, documents, and more with an unknown man’s name on them next to the road at 324 West Church in Salem. After contact was made between the owner of the items, the woman who found them, and law enforcement, it was revealed that the owner of the items had had their Black Chevy truck stolen the night before, and the items were inside at the time of the theft.

The vehicle was found in a driveway on Elm Street. 30-year-old Edward Peter Hoyer was found asleep inside the home and resisted arrest. With the presence of firearms nearby, Hoyer was tased and taken into custody.

Hoyer has been charged with Felony Theft by Receiving, and a charge of Resisting Arrest. His bond was set at $25,000.
