West Plains, MO. – The Harlin Museum in West Plains held their annual High School Art Show, where local High School Students got the chance to compete with one another to show their artistic skills.
Winner of “Best of Show” was Lyla Cornman of Liberty High School, taking home a $100 prize, for her piece titled: “Just a Boy”.
The 1st Place Winner of the 2D paintings category was Megan Broos of Mountain Grove with her piece titled: “Coffee Shop”.
The 1st Place Winner of the 2D Drawings category was Riley Taber of Liberty with her piece titled: “River Monster”.
The 1st Place Winner of the 2D Mixed Media category was Courtney Crivello of Thayer with her piece titled: “Jail Break”.
The 1st Place Winner of the 3D Fiber Arts category was Tymber Holman of Thayer with her piece titled: “Todd”.
The 1st Place Winner of the 3D Mixed Media category was Raymond Short of Mountain Grove with his piece titled: “Browsly Pharmacy”.
The winners of the final award, the People’s Choice Award, will be decided by the public through
voting at the museum gallery and through online voting on Facebook. Voting ends at 2pm on Sunday, March 20th.
The Harlin Museum is located at 405 Worcester, West Plains, MO 65775, about a block southwest of the
downtown Court Square. The museum’s hours of operation are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (12 pm – 4 pm).
