Calico Rock, MO. – A man from Izard County is facing several felony charges after his arrest involving drug trafficking and an investigation from Homeland Security.
According to the probable cause affidavit on the case, the investigation began on January 8th after Homeland Security was tipped off by a packing and shipping business in Republic, MO., that became suspicious of parcels from India moving through their facility.
During the investigation, it was found the suspect, identified as Wayne Anthony Post, 55 of Calico Rock, AR., had received over 500 international packages since March of 2023.
On January 9th, a search warrant was executed along with an undercover agent. The warrant led to Post’s arrest, and the seizure of over 202,000 illegal pills, multiple firearms including a 9mm Uzi, 10,000 rounds of ammunition, and more.
Post is looking at three Class Y Felonies, two counts of Trafficking a Controlled Substance and one count of Drugs and Firearms – Simultaneous. He is also looking at a Class C Felony of Unlawful Use of a Communication Device, a Class D felony of Possession with Purpose to Deliver a Controlled Substance, and a Class C felony of Maintaining a Drug Premises.
