Howell County Collector Janet Crow says the annual delinquent tax sale is set for Monday, Aug. 24 at 10 a.m. in the upstairs meeting room at 35 Court Square in West Plains. The full board of properties — including lists, maps, and statutes — is now available for public viewing in the hallway outside the collector’s office.
Crow says owners can still pay their taxes and have properties removed from the sale, noting the list has dropped from more than 350 parcels in March to 31. She credits her staff for the progress and hopes to reduce the number even further before sale day.
