Howell County, MO. – The Howell County Sheriff’s Office released a public announcement about a person of interest being looked for in Howell County. The individual, Shawn Michael Clark, has not been located since he fired shots at a residence in the Willow Springs area last night. The unedited release is below.

1. Howell County Swat Callout in Willow Springs
2. On May 13, 2024, at approximately 09:26 pm, the Howell County Sheriffβs Office SWAT Team members were leaving their scheduled training on State Route 14 in West Plains, when they received a call out to assist the Willow Springs Police Department with a Domestic Disturbance call on N. Ferguson Street in Willow Springs.
3. The Willow Springs Domestic Disturbance call involved shots fired. A female at the residence, and her nine-year-old son, reportedly fled in fear to an upstairs bedroom, and believed the subject was armed and still inside the residence.
4. The male subject, who was identified as Shawn Michael Clark, was believed to be armed and dangerous. Mr. Clark was found to have multiple warrants, one out of Ozark County, one from the City of West Plains Police and a third for Probation/Parole Violation.
5. The Howell County SWAT Team deputies assisted in setting up a perimeter within minutes of arrival on scene. The SWAT Team coordinated with the Willow Springs Police Department and advised they could bring the female and juvenile out of an upstairs window. After extricating the woman and juvenile, the SWAT Team made entry into the home in attempt to locate Mr. Clark. Simultaneously, other SWAT Team deputies searched the surrounding areas for the suspect.
