Howell County, MO. – Recently, the Howell County Sheriff’s Office has gone digital on the publishing of their reports.
Now all records from the sheriff’s office are available for the public. You can view the event reports, press reports, and arrest reports. This site is updated every week. The Howell County Sheriff’s Office sent out this official statement, ” Missouri’s Sunshine Law is the embodiment of Missouri’s commitment to openness in government. The Revised Statutes of Missouri, Chapter 610 is the foundation of what has become known as Missouri’s Sunshine Law.”

As of last year on July 1, 2023, Missouri’s Probable Cause Statements were also made digital for public viewing on courts.mo.gov. Through this site, you can look up cases by specific case numbers, people’s names, or filing dates. All pleadings filed after July 1st will be available for reporters and the public but all pleadings filed before that date will still be unavailable unless you make a trip to the courthouse.
