Pontiac, MO. – An out-of-state driver recently required air ambulance transportation for treatment, after a crash in Ozark County inflicted severe injuries to them.
According to this report from Corporal N.J. Britt from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G, the driver was travelling along County Road 607, two miles North of Pontiac, when the crash occurred.
The driver, identified as Jeffry Braeutigam, a 57-year-old male from Collinsville, IL, was operating a Jeep Wrangler when he failed to negotiate a curve. He then travelled off the left side of the roadway and went down into an embankment before striking multiple trees.
The Jeep was extensively damaged, and the driver was left with serious injuries. Air ambulance services took Braeutigam to Cox South in Springfield for recovery. He was not wearing his safety device at the time of the crash.
