Illinois woman injured in Ozark County crash Monday morning

West Plains, MO. – A couple from Illinois were involved in a crash in Ozark County that injured the passenger. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred at 8:50 a.m. on Highway 5 in Wasola.

A northbound Ford F-350 driven by Michael Bilot, age 65 of Newark, Il., attempted to overtake another vehicle and Bilot lost control of the truck, running off the right side of the roadway and striking an embankment.

Both the driver and his passenger, Laura Bilot, age 63, had been wearing their seatbelts but, only Laura was reported as being injured. She suffered moderate injuries and was taken by Ozark County Ambulance to Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Ar. for treatment.
