Caulfield, MO. – One individual has been arrested and serious injuries have followed after an intoxicated crash during the late afternoon of Saturday, July 29th.
A Polaris RZR was being driven down County Road 7040, two miles North of Caulfield, when the driver lost control and overturned. The driver, Weston Shirly, a 20-year-old Paragould, AR. resident, was found to be intoxicated at the time of the crash.
Two passengers, both also from Paragould area, were injured in the accident. They were identified as Taylor Beasley, 21, and Allie Huffine, 20. Neither were wearing a safety device when the accident occurred. Beasley only suffered minor injuries, but Huffine was inflicted with serious injuries. Both were taken to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment.
The driver is looking at a possible Felony DWI charge, being a persistent offender, as well as a charge of Careless and Imprudent Driving Resulting in a Crash.
This accident was investigated by Trooper L.C. Pruiett of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G.
