Mountain View, Mo. – An intoxicated driver injured himself and his passenger in a one-vehicle crash on Saturday night. According to the Highway Patrol report, the crash happened on County Raod 3100, two miles southeast of Mountain View at 10:18 p.m. on December 25.
An eastbound 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada driven by Jacob Day, 19 of Mountain View, traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.
Day was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated – Drugs, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Marijuana, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, No Insurance, No License Plate Lamp, and No Seatbelt. He was released to be taken to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment of injures from the crash.
His passenger, Billy Greer, 41 of Caulfield, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Both men had not wearing safety devices.
