West Plains, MO. – An Ironton woman is recovering from injuries received in an early Tuesday morning crash in Reynolds County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred at 1:24 a.m. on Highway KK, one-half mile south of Rector on August 29, 2023.
A westbound Hyundai Elantra driven by Katlyn Hawkins, age 19 of Ironton, failed to stop at a stop sign, traveled across the roadway, and struck a tree.

Extensive damage was done to the vehicle and Hawkins suffered moderate injuries. She was taken by ambulance to Salem Memorial District Hospital for treatment.
