West Plains, MO. – A Jefferson City woman received misdemeanor charges following a one-vehicle crash in Carter County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred on MO 21 at Hunter at 4:14 p.m. on Saturday, July 22.
A southbound Chevy Cruze driven by Diana Cates, age 45, ran off the roadway and struck a tree. The driver had not been wearing a seat belt at the time and suffered moderate injuries in the crash. She was taken by East Carter County Ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital for treatment. The vehicle was totaled.
Cates was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated – drugs and released for medical treatment.
