Peel, AR — The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the death of a juvenile following an apparent suicide attempt on Tuesday evening.
According to Sheriff Alexander, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Marion County Road 8017 in the Peel community at approximately 7:27 p.m. on March 19, 2025, after receiving a report of an attempted suicide.
Deputies and Emergency Medical Services responded quickly to the scene, and the juvenile was transported to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC). Despite medical efforts, the juvenile was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Boone County Coroner also responded and will be transferring the body to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office for a full autopsy to determine the official cause and manner of death.
Sheriff Alexander stated that investigators were present both at the residence and at NARMC to conduct interviews and gather evidence. He also confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing, and updates will be released as more information becomes available.
