West Plains, MO. – An officially sanctioned Kansas City Barbecue Society BBQ Festival will be taking place this year in West Plains, Missouri. For those into the cooking scene, this event should not be missed.
The event is scheduled for May 17th and 18th, and will be at the Heart of the Ozarks Fairgrounds located on the north side of West Plains, just off of US 63.
This BBQ festival is being organized by Ozark Marketing’s non-profit, Give Local First. Proceeds from this event will go toward this year’s Give Local First recipient, The West Plains Elks Lodge #2418 Veteran’s Program.
On Friday there will be a Chicken Wing Cooking Contest, and a Hot Wing Eating Contest. On Saturday, the main event kicks off and will include food trucks, vendors, a cornhole tournament, and more. Live music will be available both days.
