West Plains, MO. – A Koshkonong man was recently arrested for the death of his brother during an August 2020 crash. Christopher C. Russell, Jr. was arrested by the Howell County Sheriff’s Department on Sunday, December 11, 2022 on charges of DWI – Death of Another and DWI – Serious Physical Injury.
The charges stem from a fatal crash in Scott County in southeast Missouri on August 13, 2020. The crash occurred on Route Z, north of Sikeston as a vehicle driven by Michael Dossett of Sikeston struck the vehicle driven by Christopher Russell, causing Russell’s vehicle to overturn, ejecting the driver and his passenger, 20-year old Sebastian Russell. Sebastian was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. The drivers of both vehicles suffered serious injuries in the crash.
A warrant was issued on November 8, 2022 for the arrest of Russell following charges being filed by the Scott County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Russell is being held on $100,000 Bond.
