West Plains, MO. – On February 8, 2024, the annual Lady Zizzers pink out game was held to bring together Zizzer supports, cancer fighters, survivors, and sponsors to spend an evening to help Ozark Healthcare’s Cancer Treatment Center.
At this game the Lady Zizzers ending up defeating their competition, The Parkview Vikings, and crushing the Pink Out game. They raised $25,000 dollars to help support OZH Cancer Treatment Center. Leading up to the game there were plenty of fundraisers to raise money for cancer treatment advances with the Starbucks Day at Ozark Healthcare, the Lady Zizzer Basketball Pink Out 5K and 1 mile Walk/Run, and fundraiser drives held at the local schools. At the game, prior to tip-off, there were pre-game sales, which included Pink Out T-shirts, donated by West Plains Bank and Trust Company, Zach Bryan Raffle Ticket, donated by Shaun and Andrea Huggins with Westgate realty, and smoked ribs for fans to buy, donated by The Law Office of Garrett. There was also a walk for cancer survivors in honor of those that have been lost to cancer, there they received and were recognized with gifts of carnations donated by Posey Patch Flower Shop.
During half-time, Bill Sexton and Justin Kraft, auctioned off items that were donated to by Leonardo DRS, Chris Herbolsheimer, Ozark Health Care, and they also auctioned off 20 dozen cupcakes and desserts that were donated by Sugar Lily Bakery and Floral.
The Pink Out game has been apart of the Lady Zizzer’s game and purpose since the start in 2013. They have raised approximately $191,000 for the OZH Cancer Treatment Center, with $110,600 of that being raised since 2019, when the West Plain Bank and Trust Company became the Pink Out games main sponsor.
