Licking, MO. – A man from Licking was fatally injured in an accident with a semi on the morning of Monday, February 6th.
Investigation of this incident was performed by Trooper D.E. Rogers and Sergeant S.R. Richards of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Allen Long, 56, was the lone injured party in this accident, and was a pedestrian who was walking on Highway 32, less than a mile East of Licking. Long was struck by a Westbound 2021 Peterbilt driven by 48-year-old Dallas Southards of Salem, MO.
Allen Long was pronounced deceased at the scene by Texas County Coroner Marie Lasater at 6:26am.
This accident marks the first fatality of 2023 for the Highway Patrol Troop G region.
