Licking Rural Fire Department Chief Announces Resignation

Licking, MO. – In a sudden announcement today, the Licking Rural Fire Department Chief, Aaron Greathouse, has announced his resignation. The announcement outlines that his exit from this position lies entirely with sudden day-job changes. Read the unedited announcement below.

Citizens of Licking,

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has provided unwavering support over the past two years. From increased dues paying members, to donations, grants and volunteering of time or service; every bit of it made a difference. Our accomplishments in such a short period have been remarkable.

I came in with big goals and dreams for the fire department. Many of which seemed almost unreachable two years ago. To everyone behind the scenes who has supported me personally or professionally those goals were attainable because of you.

Regrettably, due to unforeseen changes in my work schedule, I must present my resignation from the City of Licking Fire Department and Licking Rural Fire Department effective April 30th. The department/community deserves nothing less then 100% as a Chief and I must let someone else take over as I will not be able to give 100% at this time.

I am committed to ensuring a seamless transition to my replacement and will do my part to facilitate this process. Please continue to support the Fire Department!

Aaron Greathouse
