Licking Woman Injured After Striking Deer in the Roadway

A Licking woman sustained minor injuries early Friday after her SUV struck a deer on Highway BB, three miles west of U.S. 63. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred around 5:50 a.m. on August 28.

Troopers say the eastbound 2017 Ford Explorer hit the deer in the roadway, causing moderate damage to the vehicle. The driver, a 74‑year‑old woman from Licking, was wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.

She was transported by Texas County Memorial Hospital Ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
