Local Fire & Safety Organizations Call for Care

Despite the snow and ice we had last week, many Fire and Safety Organizations are calling for those of us in the Ozarks to show caution with fire. The ground is wet, but the melting of the ice has caused much of the vegetation to be rich with nitrogen, exacerbating any fire-related issues that might be had.

The National Weather Services released warnings about the conditions, stating the area is at “Elevated Fire Danger” risk, and several local fire departments have stated that they’ve been busy combatting fires. At current, it is ill-advised to burn anything until conditions change.
