Local man held without bond on Domestic Assault and Robbery charges in Ozark County

Gainesville, MO. – A local man was arrested last week on multiple Class A Felony charges from an incident in late July. 

Ryan Hampton, age 28, was arrested on Thursday, September 28th by deputies with the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office. A warrant for his arrest was issued the following day with official charges. Hampton’s address is listed in online court documents of Summit, Arkansas.

According to the probable cause statement, a female victim reported to law enforcement that her boyfriend had assaulted her and broken her nose during an argument on July 26, 2023. She told authorities Hampton had thrown her to the ground, punching her multiple times, then threatened, and attempted, to break her right arm, causing significant bruising and swelling. Hampton was reported to have thrown a large rock at her, injuring her elbow, and threw a cinder block at her windshield of her truck while she was in it. The victim told officers he broke her tablet to prevent her from calling for help, broke her truck door, the door to her house, and stole two phones. 

Authorities noted in the PC statement that this was the third domestic incident this year reported between the victim and Hampton. 

Ryan Austin Hampton is being held in the Ozark County Jail without bond on the charges of 1st-degree Robbery, 1st-degree Domestic Assault – Serious Physical Injury, Armed Criminal Action, 1st Degree Harassment, 2nd-degree Tampering with Property of Another, and 2nd-degree Property Damage.
