Ava, MO. – A local YouTuber known for taking videos of his interactions with police has been charged with felony harassment following a recent video post.
Jimmy Coy Haag, known online as JC News Now, posts videos of his interactions with area law enforcement and government officials on his YouTube and TikTok channels. His YouTube channel has over 19,700 subscribers.
According to the probable cause statement, the male complainant says Haag made statements about the man being involved in homosexual adult films and that he assaulted Haag when he escorted Haag from the Ava Police Station. The statement does not give the date of the Ava incident but, Haag did post a video on November 25, 2023, of attempting to fill out complaint forms at the Ava Police Station and being escorted out for recording the interior of the station lobby.
The statement says numerous people have since contacted the Ava Police and made threats about stalking the man and his family.
A warrant has been issued for Haag’s arrest and he is to be held without bond. Haag is currently on probation for a 2022 harassment charge.
