Wright County, MO. – A male is currently facing charges of three felonies driving while intoxicated resulting in serious physical injury, three felony second-degree assaults, misdemeanor careless and imprudent driving resulting in a motor vehicle crash, and driving while wearing no seat belt, after a crash that seriously injured three juveniles.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the crash took place on May 26 at 4:50 p.m. on Missouri 95, 5 miles south of Manes. 22-year-old Hayden Morgan was driving southbound when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, and struck a MoDot sign and then a tree, before coming to a stop. Four individuals were seriously injured, including a 14-year-old female juvenile, a 14-year-old male juvenile, a 13-year-old female juvenile, and Hayden Morgan. Morgan failed to wear his seat belt at the time of the crash. Everyone was transported to Cox South in Springfield via ambulance.
The crash was investigated by the Wright County Sheriff’s Department, Northern Wright County Fire Department, Trooper N.L. Pointer, Corporal T.L. Brown, Corporal S.J. Crews, and Trooper J.L. Dedmon of Troop G.
