Mammoth Spring Man Injured in Wreck Near Gatewood

A Mammoth Spring, Arkansas man was injured Saturday morning in a single‑vehicle crash east of Gatewood. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash happened at about 8:10 a.m. on Highway 142, roughly two miles east of town.

Troopers say the westbound Dodge Ram 2500 ran off the left side of the roadway and struck an embankment. The impact caused moderate damage to the truck, which was later towed by Randy’s Towing. The driver, a 37‑year‑old man, was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

He sustained minor injuries and was transported by EMS to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment. No other vehicles or passengers were involved, and the Patrol did not report any contributing factors such as weather or road conditions. The driver faces charges of DWI and Failure to Drive on Right Half of the Roadway.
