DOUGLAS COUNTY, Mo. — A man was arrested Aug. 1 following a Douglas County grand jury indictment on burglary and sex-related charges involving a child.
Brian Kile was arrested by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on charges of first-degree burglary, first-offense sexual misconduct involving a child under 15, fourth-degree child molestation involving a child younger than 17 and an offender more than four years older, and second-degree sexual abuse.
A $100,000 cash-only bond was set in the case.
According to the sheriff’s office, the alleged incident occurred in January 2026. Kile was indicted by a Douglas County grand jury in July.
The case was investigated by Douglas County Deputy J. Harley and Detective N. Long.
All charges are allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
