Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash After He Overturned And Skidded Across Highway

Ozark, MO. – A man was fatally injured in a crash after he overturned and skidded across the highway.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the crash occurred on August 20, 2024, at 7:51 p.m. on U.S. 65. 56-year-old James Turk was driving a motorcycle northbound, 8 miles north of Branson when his vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned in the median. The vehicle then skidded across the southbound side of the roadway before striking a guardrail. Turk was pronounced dead on the scene by the Taney County Coroner.

Trooper C.T. Schmidt and Master Sergeant S.R. Rowe of Troop D investigated the crash.
