Man Seriously Injured After Being Crushed Beneath Motorcycle During Crash

Phelps County, MO. – A man was seriously injured after getting crushed beneath his motorcycle during a crash that occurred on August 2, 2024.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, 63-year-old Herbert Gray was driving eastbound on County Road 7360, 3 miles east of Newburg. Around 8:58 p.m. Gray lost control of his 2022 Honda Navi Motorcycle, which caused it to overturn. The motorcycle ejected the driver and came to a rest on top of him. Gray was seriously injured and was flown to University Hospital in Columbia via Phelps Air. The report states that Gray was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
