Birch Tree, MO. – On May 27, 2024, a man was injured following a crash between a pickup and a motorcycle.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the accident occurred at 6:19 pm on Highway Y, 1.5 miles south of Birch Tree, Missouri. 65-year-old Jimmy Rogers, the Yamaha V Star Motorcycle operator, was traveling eastbound when he turned into the path of a 2010 GMC Pickup. The vehicles struck and ejected Rogers from his vehicle.
The driver of the pickup, a 17-year-old male juvenile, received minor injuries. Rogers was inflicted with serious injuries and transported via Air Evac to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri for treatment.
The crash was investigated by Corporal M. Barron and Trooper L.J. Combs of Troop G, and the Birch Tree Fire Department.
