Fulton County, AR. – On June 22, 2024, a man was arrested after he stole a UTV claiming he did it because he was being chased.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to a residence after receiving a call about a male individual asking to be let inside the home. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with a witness next door who claimed a man had driven through her yard on a UTV at a high rate of speed and parked it behind her house. The male then took off running to the neighbor’s house where he stopped on the porch and did not leave it. The officers went next door where they talked to the male, identified as 56-year-old Charles Blosl. He stated that he was looking for a friend of his. The officer observed that Blosl had slurred speech and the odor of intoxicants coming off his person. When asked about the side-by-side, Blosl stated that he had picked it up from some guy on Greasy Creek Road. The officers contacted several people on the street to identify the owner of the UTV. When found, the owner stated that the UTV was taken without permission.
On June 23, 2024, Blosl was interviewed at the Fulton County Jail. During this interview, he stated that he went to the house to attempt to use the phone but the owner was away. He then took the vehicle to try and get away because there was a person who had been chasing him. Fulton County Jail advised that a test did provide positive results for methamphetamine upon being booked into the Fulton County Jail.
Blosl was charged with criminal trespass, public intoxication, and theft of property valued at less than $25,000 but greater than $5,000. He is currently being held on a $15,000 bond.
