Ava, MO. – On February 5th a Mansfield man was arrested after law enforcement received information on a 16-year-old female that was car surfing, fell off, and was run over.
The juvenile was reported to have been riding on top of the vehicle by two other juveniles present, and upon falling off, sustained injuries to her leg as it was run over.
The driver was Jerry Hall, 43. Hall had admitted to being the individual who was driving when the victim fell off the vehicle, and strong odors of alcohol pointed to DWI likely being a factor in the incident.
Hall was given a BAC test and was found to have a blood alcohol level of 0.269, over three times the legal limit.
Hall has been charged with DWI Serious Physical Injury, Endangering the Welfare of a Child x2, Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Valid License, Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility, and Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle.
Bond was set at $5,000 with conditions of CPS supervision, no allowed intoxicants, drugs, or mood altering substances, GPS monitoring, no driving, and a 7pm to 7am curfew.
