Piece and Friendship Quilt Guild Donates to Law Enforcement for Emergency Situations

Ava, MO. – A community of quilters has made a selfless donation last week to both the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the Ava Police Department.

This came in the form of hand-made quilts, meaning this donation was a lot of total hours and a lot of hard work in the making. This comes from the Piece and Friendship Quilt Guild, an area group that stays consistently involved in fundraising and charity events.

Piece and Friendship Quilt Guild member Connie Sherill made the presentation possible, and all quilts donated are intended to be used by and given to individuals in crisis or emergency situations.
