Marshfield Empty Residence Lit on Fire TWICE; Officials Suspect Arson

Marshfield, MO. – A vacant residence in the Marshfield area was set on fire twice within recent days, sparking an investigation of suspected arson.

Officials with the Marshfield Fire Department have said that this residence, located on South Elm Street, was on fire at first in June, and was on fire again this past Monday.

Investigations are ongoing, but the preliminary opinion appears to be that the fires were set purposefully. At this point, it’s too early to tell if these fires were set as a random target, or if it is the building itself that was the goal.
