West Plains, MO. – The South Central Correctional Center in Licking, Missouri has announced the first inmate death following a string of fentanyl-related deaths during the late 2022 summer months.
Offender Larry Bolton was pronounced dead at 11:05 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at South Central Correctional Center. Bolton was a 53-year-old offender serving a 5-year sentence for second-degree assault from Maries County. The inmate was received in the Missouri Department of Corrections on Oct. 5, 2022.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine cause of death.
Bolton makes the 12th death at the correctional center in Licking in 2022.
