MOUNTAIN VIEW, Mo. — The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a girl from Mountain View that went missing earlier this month has been found safe.
15-year-old Destiney Layman was found on Friday, October 18. Layman reportedly got onto the wrong school bus at Mountain View-Birch Tree High School on Friday, October 11 and exited the bus at a residence on Howell County Road 2939.

It was believed the girl, who was adopted several years ago, and may have been attempting to locate her biological family.
