Missouri Anterless Deer Hunting Harvest Counts In for State

Preliminary data from the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) shows deer hunters harvested 18,904 deer during the late antlerless portion of firearms deer season, Dec. 2-10. Top harvest counties were Callaway with 565 deer harvested, Pike with 513, and Lincoln with 385.

Last year’s antlerless portion harvest total was 16,241.

Counts for local counties shows Douglas’ overall harvest count to be 210, Howell County coming in at 344, Oregon County at 227, Ozark finishing at 158, Shannon County at 200, and Texas County at 354.

These numbers are dwarfed in comparison to the antlered November portion of the hunting season, which totaled out at 193,648. The newly introduced CWD portion of the November firearms season, which only applied to select counties in the state, totaled harvests at 11,726.
