The St. Louis Blues have fired head coach Craig Berube just 28 games into the season. The news came after the Blues lost to Detroit on Tuesday 6-4. Drew Bannister will take over as interim head coach. He has served as head coach of the Springfield Thunderbirds, the Blues’ AHL affiliate. Berube finishes his tenure with 206 wins in five-plus seasons. He also led St. Louis to the first Stanley Cup championship in franchise history in the 2018-19 season.
