Missouri State Highway Patrol Gives Report Of Memorial Day Traffic Accidents

Missouri – The Missouri State Highway Patrol recently released their reports of vehicle and boating fatalities and injuries over the Memorial Day weekend. They reported seven traffic fatalities, no boating fatalities, and no drowning fatalities. 

During the Memorial Weekend, Troopers investigated the following:

Boating Incidents

  • 7 crashes
  • 7 injuries
  • 0 fatalities
  • 0 drownings
  • 6 BWIs

The Memorial Day weekend counting period began at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 24, and ended at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, May 27.

Three fatalities occurred in Troop C, Weldon Spring area; one in Troop A, Lee’s Summit; Troop B, Macon; Troop E, Poplar Bluff; and Troop I, Rolla. This is down from last year’s 287 traffic crashes and 12 fatalities, but up from last year’s 117 injuries.
