West Plains, MO. – The midday crash that happened yesterday during the midday hours on South 63 near West Plains has been posted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
This crash was a two-vehicle incident between a Toyota Prius and a Jeep Cherokee. The driver of the Prius, 26-year-old Jefferson City resident, Kendall Otto, was driving northbound when he came to the end of a passing zone while making a pass. This caused him to lose control and skid into the path of the Cherokee, driven by 47-year-old Eagle Butte, South Dakota resident, Cathy McKinney.
Both vehicles were totaled. McKinney was inflicted with moderate injuries and was taken by ground ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment.
