A Mountain Grove man was indicted by a Grand Jury for a physical and sexual assault in February. Douglas County Grand Jurors issued the indictment for John Matthew Young on Monday. Court records show that Young hit the victim in the head, causing her to lose a tooth. When the victim fell to the ground, Young reportedly kicked her in the ribs with steel-toed boots. The victim reported that Young assaulted her when she refused to have sex with him. Young has been indicted for first-degree domestic assault, first-degree rape or attempted rape and armed criminal action.
