An 18‑year‑old Mountain Grove woman suffered serious injuries Wednesday afternoon after falling from a vehicle on Owens Road near Stairstep Road.
The Highway Patrol says she was riding in the back seat of a 2016 Nissan Sentra when she attempted to climb onto the roof and fell from the car.

She was transported by Texas County Memorial Ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. The driver, a 20‑year‑old woman from Mountain Grove, was not injured and drove the vehicle from the scene.
