Mountain Home Man Arrested for Assault w/ a Tire Iron

Mountain Home, AR. – The Mountain Home PD arrested an individual for an assault at a gas station on Friday, December 9th, where a man was assaulted with a tire iron.

The PD were called out for the reported assault to Murphy USA, a local gas station, where they found large amounts of blood near pump 9 of the facility.

Further investigation included viewing of surveillance footage, which revealed a man grabbing a tire iron, sneaking up behind another man, and hitting him in the head with the iron. The victim was able to flee the scene, and received medical treatment afterward for his head injury.

The assaulting party, identified as Curtis Clifton, 43 of Mountain Home, was later arrested on Felony 2nd Degree Battery and Felony Aggravated Assault. Clifton’s bond was set at $50,000 and is incarcerated in the Baxter County Detention Center.
