Mountain Home, AR. – A man from Mountain Home is now facing criminal charges for his involvement in a motorcycle crash that injured him and killed his passenger.
This accident originally took place on August 19th, 2023, at 6 p.m. The driver, Joe Deen, age 55 at the time of the crash, swerved to avoid a rock in the roadway, which caused him to lose control of the motorcycle and collide with a road sign.
Deen was injured in the crash, but his passenger, identified as 53-year-old Stephanie Lynn Bay, died in the accident. Deen was found to have an illegal blood-alcohol level during the crash after a sample of his blood was analyzed by the Arkansas State Crime Lab.
He is facing charges involving felony Negligent Homicide, and Driving While Intoxicated. He has since been released after posting $10,000 bond.
