Mountain Home woman sentenced to 18 years for murdering son

West Plains, MO. – A Mountain Home woman that was accused of stabbing her teenage son to death last year has been sentenced.

Rebecca Lynn Henley, 44 of Mountain Home, pled guilty to 2nd-degree murder and was sentenced to 18 years in prison on Monday, June 26, 2023.

Henley had initially been charged with first-degree murder, which she had pled not guilty to, and had been held in the Baxter County Jail since her arrest on March, 20, 2023.

Following her arrest, Henley told police in an interview that she had to kill the teenager “for righteousness, to save everybody.”
